What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners. NoBsResume uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and understand how our service is used.
Types of Cookies We Use
1. Essential Cookies & Local Storage
These are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as:
- •localStorage: Stores your resume data, interview session, last resume-checker result, language preference, and an anonymous client identifier locally on your device. None of this is sent to our servers automatically.
- •Geo-language cookie (geo-lang): A session cookie set when you first visit so the site can guess your preferred language from your country. It contains only a two-letter language code and expires when you close the browser.
- •Rate limiting: An anonymous client identifier stored in localStorage is used together with your IP address to enforce fair-use limits on AI text enhancement, the resume checker, interview simulation, and PDF generation.
- •Push subscription (optional, opt-in): If you allow push notifications, your browser stores a subscription endpoint locally. The endpoint is shared with our server only so we can deliver the notifications you opted in to.
Duration: localStorage entries persist until you clear your browser data; the geo-lang cookie expires when you close the browser.
2. Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)
These cookies require your consent and are blocked by default until you accept them through our consent dialog.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. These cookies collect information such as:
- •Pages visited and time spent on each page
- •Browser type and device information
- •Geographic location (country/city level)
- •Traffic sources (how you found our website)
Duration: Up to 2 years
Opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
3. Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
These cookies require your consent and are blocked by default until you accept them through our consent dialog.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements that help keep our service free. These cookies:
- •Show you relevant advertisements based on your interests
- •Measure ad performance and effectiveness
- •Prevent the same ad from appearing too many times
- •Track conversions from ads
Duration: Up to 2 years
Opt-out: Visit Google Ads Settings to manage your ad preferences
