Introduction
We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our free resume builder, resume checker, and interview simulator. We believe in transparency and giving you control over your data.
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide
When you create a resume, all information you enter (personal details, work experience, education, skills, etc.) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to download your resume as a PDF or use an AI-powered feature.
When you use the Resume Checker, the file you upload (PDF, DOCX, or TXT) is sent to our server, processed in memory to extract its text, and then handed to a third-party AI service for analysis. We never write your uploaded file to disk, never log its contents, and never retain a copy after the analysis returns. The resulting score and suggestions are sent back to your browser and stored only there, in your localStorage, until you clear it.
When you use the Interview Simulator, the position, job description, and answers you type are sent to our server and forwarded to a third-party AI service to generate questions and feedback. We do not persist this data on our servers - your interview session is stored only in your browser's localStorage.
When you submit our contact form, the name, email, and message you provide are delivered to us by email through a third-party email-sending provider. We keep your message only as long as needed to respond to you.
2. Push Notifications (Optional, Opt-In)
If you choose to enable push notifications, your browser provides us with a push subscription endpoint and a pair of public cryptographic keys. We store this subscription so we can send you the notifications you opted in to. The subscription does not contain your personal information; it is a browser-issued identifier that we use solely to deliver notifications. You can revoke this subscription at any time in your browser settings, and we delete subscriptions that become invalid.
3. Automatically Collected Information
- Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This includes pages visited, time spent, browser type, and general location (country/city level).
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our service, including feature usage and error logs.
- IP Address: We collect your IP address to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits on our AI text enhancement, interview simulator, resume checker, and PDF generation features. IP addresses may be temporarily stored in server logs and in memory for the duration of the rate-limit window.

Consent Management
We use Google's Consent Management Platform to obtain and manage your consent for cookies and data processing. Depending on your location, you will see one of the following:
European Economic Area (EEA/UK)
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you will be shown a consent dialog when you first visit our website. You can choose to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies. Your choice is remembered and can be changed at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting our site.
United States
In compliance with US state privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA), you will see a privacy notice informing you of your rights regarding the sale or sharing of personal information. You can opt out of the sale of your personal information through this notice.
Until you provide consent, analytics and advertising cookies are blocked by default using Google Consent Mode v2. Only essential cookies required for the website to function are active before you make a choice.
Third-Party Services
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. Google Analytics uses cookies to track your interactions with our website. These cookies are only set after you provide consent through our consent dialog. You can also opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. Personalized advertising cookies are only set after you provide consent through our consent dialog. You can also manage your ad preferences by visiting Google Ads Settings.
AI Service Provider
When you use our AI-powered features (text enhancement, resume checker analysis, interview question generation and answer review), the relevant content is sent to a third-party AI service provider for processing. The provider returns the result to us, we forward it to your browser, and we do not store the input or the output on our servers beyond what is needed to complete the request. The provider acts as a sub-processor under data-protection terms that limit how they may use the data we send (in summary: only to fulfill our request, not to train models on your content). We may change the AI service provider over time as the technology evolves; this Privacy Policy is updated accordingly.
Push Notification Delivery
When you opt in to push notifications, we use the Web Push Protocol (VAPID) to deliver notifications through the push service operated by your browser vendor (for example, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging for Chrome, Apple Push Notification Service for Safari, Mozilla's autopush for Firefox). These push services receive only the encrypted notification payload and a routing identifier - they do not see your personal data.
Email Delivery (Contact Form)
If you contact us through the contact form, your message is delivered to our team through a third-party transactional email service. They process the message only to relay it to us and keep it briefly as part of their normal delivery logs.
Content Delivery & Hosting
The website is served through a content delivery network and hosting provider that may log standard web request metadata (IP address, user agent, request path) for security and performance purposes. We also load country flag images from a public flag CDN to render language and region indicators.
Data Storage and Security
Your resume data, interview session, and last resume-checker analysis are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We do not have access to this data, and it remains on your device until you clear your browser data.
Files you upload to the Resume Checker are processed entirely in server memory - never written to disk, never logged, and discarded immediately after the analysis returns to your browser. Interview practice sessions and AI text enhancements are processed in real time and not stored on our servers.
All data in transit between your browser, our servers, and our sub-processors is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we handle.
Your Rights
Access
Your resume data is stored locally on your device and accessible at any time.
Deletion
You can delete your resume data by clearing your browser's localStorage or using your browser's clear data function.
Opt-out
You can manage your cookie preferences through our consent dialog, which appears on your first visit. You can reset your choices by clearing your browser cookies.
Data Portability
You can download your resume as a PDF at any time.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
